I have a burm that was imported in 1991. I estimate him to be about 15 years old. He has never been to the vet! He is an incredible animal.

I will post a pic of "gramps" on monday, when my kids come back with the digital cam......I got this old guy off of a bud in the Durham Snake Group. He had it for 10 yrs, the guy he got it off had it for 12 yrs,and I had it for 2yrs....the snake eats only live rats(which is a pain since I have a freezer full of frozen) but who am I too argue with the old guy....

You should without a doubt! Balls seem to live forever. I know a few years back Rob Carmichael's balls were in their late 30's (maybe some in their 40's? I can't remember that well) and still producing viable clutches every year!

Well, my animals aren't ancient, but Bo, my red-eared slider turtle is over 13 or so years, and Billy, a box turtle I recently aquired, is over 10. My sis thinks I'm kidding when I tell her they could be around when we reach our fourties if we take care of them right. =)
