hi guys i am planning on getting a bp, as some of you know but i am wondering what the best size for it would be?
I have read the ball python manual, and it seems that they do not need TOO much space... as they say they need 90cm long x 30cm wide.. woul it be better to house them in a tank largeer than this, or is this sized tank acceptable??

I have trusted this series of books with leos and beardies, and i am very aware that it is extremely praised by keepers worldwide, but this just seems small for a python??

what do you keep yours in??? photos are welcome!! thanks all in advance!!

i have two, one is in a 20 long, and the other is in a 20 tall, and they love it, plenty of place to explore and climb!

I have my 3ft male in a 40 gall breeder tank....and planning on getting him a 4ft cage...A 29/30 gall tank is acceptable....but bigger is always better....as long as they have plenty of hides and such.....

Depends on the size of your Ball Python.........

Perfect tank = non-existant

Tanks are better left to fish and critters with low humidity requirements. You can't keep anything that reuires humidity higher than the humidity in the room without blocking off the airflow. By doing this you raise humidity, but also create stagnant air, which is also a prime environment for spores to grow. Rubbermaids are great, but if you don't like the look of them, custom enclosures work just as well.

Exactly what Linds said.....and more. There isn't even a perfect enclosure. Each setup is different, each ambient room is different bla bla bla. Look up the requirements for a BP (damn, they're everywhere) and do it. Can't be simpler than that!
