go with the aspen or the repti bark., or you can also use paper towel or newspaper.
Whatever you do do NOT use Cedar. it will kill your snakes.
you can do a search on this site and you can prob get more ideas from there.

i would use newspaper, but it you want it to look nice i would go with the repti bark or aspen. also you can use care freash bedding.
ceder Is a NO NO!! if it doesn't kill the snake, any reptile, it will make it very sick. don't even keep pry items on it! Ceder has a lot of natural pesticides and iritants.
I use newspaper, I know its not as pretty and a little more work, but if you get mites in your collection (and you will at lest once) they are a lot easer to control with newspaper.
Also if the shavings are dusty they could give the snake a respitory infection, I've herd of this even with aspen.
Piers
I agree with Piers. Solid substrates like newspaper, paper towel, or bath towels is the best options, though not always the most attractive.
If you want something more natural looking try cypress mulch. Many people have success with aspen shavings, but I personally don't like the stuff. It doesn;t hold humidity and it molds really quickly if it gets wet.
Softwoods should be avoided as they all contain oils that are toxic in different degrees. Cedar being the most toxic, it causes neurological damage, often fatal. Pine is more of just a very mild respiratory irritant. Fir is also a very mild toxin (this is what repti-bark is made from).
