I collected some nice thick branches and logs from outside cause i couldnt find them anywhere else. I was just wondering the best way to sanitize them? Any advice would be appreciated.

I heard putting them in the oven at 350 for an hour should be fine. Just be sure to scrub them first.
I am not 100% sure on this I read it some where before but can not remember where.

yeah i just bake it too, sometimes it smells though
I fill up by bathtub with hot hot hot water and soak them in it for 15 minutes.

Hot water won't cut it.
- Strip all of the bark off, even if you have to carve it off. Mites and bugs hide in bark.
- Soak it in 10% bleach / water solution for a few hours to kill any parasites.
- Soak in SALT water (salt to dilute the bleach) for a few hours.
- Rinse thoroughly and let dry for a few days.

okay thanks everyone. i've never heard of using bleach. thanks again.
I do the 10% bleach mixture, rinse it with water and a declorinator then bake for an hour at 350.

I agree with Invictus. Once the bark's off and it's been bleached and rinsed, there isn't really anywhere left for mites etc to go except parasite heaven... baking would just dry it out quicker, and if you don't have access to a pizza oven, cutting up larger pieces isn't necessary
