Help with photo shop??

Hi everyone. I'm not good with the cam and it's not very high quality (I'm a college student gimme a break!) and I was wondering if anyone wanted to offer any advice on how to use the photo suite that came with the cam. I'm picture dumb i reckon. Here's some examples of my poor photography skills.

Well its hard to say. A million cameras have a million different photo suites. And all work basically the same but slightly differently when it comes to what does what.

When using a photo program to fix pics you can fix them but then they might not look natural. As in say you fix the color levels and the photo DOES look better, it may look TOO good and not present the way the snake looks, so less editing in a photo program is better but of course there are many things you can do. Here is one of your photos I fixed up:

With your photo, its too dark in general to really fix. Lighting is key. Even if you have a crappy camera, bright lights will help any photos you take. Your BP doesn't have nearly enough light on it in the photos to show the pattern. Also the light towel probably exaggerates this. So next time, set up a couple lights, one extra besides flash will help. Also try and get shots from above, these turn out good too or slightly from the side. But again, lighting will help you out big time.

I don't use any of the programs that came with my camera. I found them difficult to use, well frankyl there wasn;t really anything I liked about them. I just put all my photos in to Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and resize them from there.

I agree with Marisa in that lighting is soooooo important. If you think there is too much, give it a little more even ;)
