Is it true that Columbians boas that are dark in colors are more aggressive compared to the lighter colored ones?
I would answer no to my own question even if one of my male is dark in colors (well more light brown) and is a little more aggressive or let say with less patience then my 3 other ones

i have a very dark one and a light one and have never noticed either to be aggressive, my dark one does get aggressive when its hungry tho, but that not aggressive to wanna hurt someone, just wants the food now!!

I don't think colouration would have anything to do with their temperment. So, false.

False. Bcc's are usually lighter in color, but are more aggressive than bci's which are usually darker in color.

I thank you all for your answers… I think it false too. I was just asking the question cause some one told me that in a store the other day… And actually this morning I got nailed by one of my female and she is a pale one. For the past 2 days she’s really grumpy, Must be her time of the month ;)) And for the moral of the story I’m going to quote Enso “ don’t be a snake racist” So that’s all folks…

I would also have to say false! But I know where this misconception comes from most of the Darker B.c.i in the pet trade are from Mexico or surrounding regions, these B.c.i ted to be on the dark side. Most of these being WC so they have been labled aggressive but that can be said of anything I mean a WC burm is a mean critter to deal with.

gauts28,
I will have to agree with everyone. Totally false...lol...and enso made a good comparison :p Pay no mind to what pet stores tell you, nine times out of ten it will be completely false, and probably even harmful to your animals :(

Someone could have been thinking of Central American boas. They do have a tendency to be 'darker' than Colombians. In that case, then yeah, darker ones would be a bit more aggressive. It all depends on how it was meant and how you look at it :)
