u guys remember patch? no? well shes the little albino i have bout 4 inches real real skinny stopped eating for a week or so, switched to crickets, found them half digested, etc well i was watching her eat the crix and i dim the lights and she'll see them but she takes like a whole minute just stalking it and when she does work up the nerve to strike she spits it back out like she's scared of it in her mouth. the crix are a good size for her i'm using pin heads w/ calcium. eventually she gets em.. i put a few mealies to see if she'll try them again. on the other hand, my healthiest gecko who's now eating every other day is only attacking half-heartedly these days allowing crix to run away. i mean wow his attacks are slow now. he's bout 7.5 inches few months old.. nething u wanna say?

I don't know what to tell u about the little one. However, every one of my leo's get real, real lazy about catching crickets once they get big. It drives me crazy! They go for a cricket, and when it runs from them they just lay back down like it's too much work. Maybe he will find mealworms easier to catch.

For your little one, try offering different food items: mealies, silk worms, wax worms, etc. I wish I could be of more help than that but it may just come down to food preferences and ease of eating. Babies can be skittish and a prey item that moves a lot might be freaking it out a bit.

Just my guess.

For your bigger lazier guy, that's pretty much normal. Mine aren't as aggressive feeders as they used to be when young but still eat well and are healthy. I guess that they know the food isn't going very far and will come back around!!! lol

well she didnt eat those mealies i put in there i guess she still doesnt like them. do you guys know of ne good feeder suppliers online? cause the stores here only sell mealies and i need wax and supers. also, can you refridgerate crix w/o them dying? maybe the little one will catch them easier that way.

hey man
wen i bred leos i used to feed them cockroaches (from a suplier) they loved them! however dont feed these to your little one, they are too big! Try the fridge idea, i did it with the cockroaches because mine started becoming maybe scared or lazy?!, but i think they were more frightened of them. I tried doing this and it worked wonders. Try this with the crickets. As said earlier, try using different prey items such as waxworms, or slow moving moths (the fridge), maybe some silkworms, basically anything small and soft for the baby. My leos also had half digested crickets;mealworms;cockroaches, in their poop, try a lot of diff insects
try worms (not from areas with insecticide, be very careful about that!!) my beardies love them.
Find out wot she likes

keep us up to date on the situation
