Surprising clutch!

I bred my male snow with my female anery and this is what I got,

I aslo got 5 normal corns with very deep red.

Sorry for the poor quality. I just wanted to try and show that red up behind the head and on the neck.
So any thoughts on who might be het for what that may have caused this?

From what I think
your snow and anery must be het hypo in order to get those little ghost

all the anerys are get for amel and possible hypo
but why there are normals there.......I have no idea....might be your snakes might be het for something else....
cause if snow het hypo x anery het hypo the results should be:
50% Anery het amel and hypo
25% Ghost het amel
25% Anery het amel
So there shouldn't be any normals in this clutch...but you do....so there must be something else in the genes.....try keeping them back and breed back the F1s with each other and see what else you get from these clutches...

Agree with Simon, looks like both parents are het hypo in order to get the ghost. Is there any chance of retained sperm being responsible for some of the clutch??

Is it possible the anery female is actually a charcoal that is het anery- that combination would give you normals, anery A, ghost, and hypos and looks to me like that is what you have. Has the anery female been bred to anything else in the past and what has she produced?

Hey Mary,

She is definately type A, lots and lots of yellow. The normals in the clutch have got to be from my normal male who was paired with her as well. I paird her with my snow, then my normal, then my snow two more times.
She has been bred two years in a row now to a lavender het for anery. Both of those clutchs gave normals and anerys.

It sure is amazing to see what hatches out of the eggs with corns as you never know what they could be het for, just an added bonus that comes with these snakes.
Very nice bunch of hatchlings you have there, I'm pretty sure many of the members were scratching their heads trying to figure that one out.
