Strange things happening!...
My adult crickets are dying while my babies and juvs are fine.
The adult's criket belly turns pale black and then they die :(
I have cleaned their container, their water and feeding devices, but nothing, every day was counting 5-10 died crix.
What could be? Probably an old virus that killed many crix in the past or maybe inbreeding problems?
But then again...the babies are fine?...

Crickets don't live long. As soon as they are adults, they live for a couple days and then they die. Depending on how old they are when you buy them, some will die sooner or later than others. I have that same problem, but it's normal... I think! Correct me if I'm wrong, somebody!

Dear Emily, the last time i bought crickets was last year...
I breed crickets, i don't buy them.
Crickets normaly live 7 weeks.

We tried to raise our crickets one time, and guess what, most of them lived for at least 3months but never grew much bigger than a small cricket.. Odd.
But for your crickets dying, is the room temp hotter than usual?

Crickets need it a bit warm to reach their full size.

All Europe have very high temps. Here we have around 34 Celsius.

After talking to an insect breeder I have switched from buying large winged crickets to the unwinged adults. Once they obtain full wings they then breed, lay eggs, and die. Seven weeks is not quite accurate either. It's closer to 5 1/2 weeks. Provided the temps are proper and food is readily provided. That's probably why your smaller ones are okay. Just a little somthing I recently learned:D
