I found that snake in Pennsylvania and I had around three more sites left to survey so bringing it home would not have been feasible. This, coupled with the fact that I do not collect wild animals, means that he's most likely still enjoying the sun on that rock :)

Man are they all that light coloured in the states? Up here by Georgian bay they are a LOT darker! That has gotta be one of the fatest water snakes I have ever seen! Good job!

The Nerodia Sipidons up here are much darker black in body with white lines....great pics

I found a couple of Northerns this weekend. I find that colour varies alot altough majority of the specimens I have found seem to be alot "grayer" that that.
