Hey guys, I know you're experts, so I have a couple questions.

Firstly, what's the smallest kingsnake that's commonly available in pet stores? How big of a tank would it need?

Next, what is that kind of king that looks like a coral snake, and how big does that get? And how big of a tank would it need?

Also, I'm a newbie to snakes, so what kind of setup would a king need?

Thanks for the help guys:cool:

for setup help looking on google under kingsnake caresheets would give you a good description of what you would need and temps and things like that. As for the first two questions i cant answer that since i dont even keep snakes but you could probably find that info on google also. Type in the type of snake in the google entry and than find the adult length. hope this helped :)

buy a book to make sure you can keep it properly,
most milk snakes are coral mimics,
and can be anywhere from 75cm (like the mexican kingsnake) too 1.8m (like the honduran milk snake.
The milks and kings that mimic coral I can think of are...
the Sonoran mountain kingsnake (Lampropeltis pyromelana), the Pueblan milk snake (L. triangulum campbelli) the Hounduran milk snake (L. t. hondurensis) the sinaloan milk snake (L. t. sinaloae) and theCalifornian mountain kingsnake (L. zonata) i'm sure there are many others that i dont know.
Also a six foot snake is quite manageable and can be kept in a 3.5' tank quite happly.
p.s my kingsnakes would eat a snake under 1m for breakfast:D
