Hi had to share these with you guys. Alfie is now feeding beautifully. He shed and then took two large f/t Rats one after the other and as u can see the second one he even constricted!!

But definitely treating him for mites and upping his temps seems to have got his feeding response back now and he took both rats straight from me immediately. But think now maybe hand feeding him isn't such a good idea ;) Anyway once again thanks for all the advice its been a great help!

Nice pics.
and no i dont think hand feeding a boa that big is a very good idea. mine is 6 feet and there is no way in hell i would try that by hand. i use an extra long pair of tongs for her. :)

niice! i like that cage, its so nice and simple.

someday when my BCI is larger, i'd want to put it in the living room (if my parents allow it)

It all depends do you have 10 fingers or wish to keep them, otherwise avoid the hand feeding..........lol.

Glad he's back on track! :thumbsup: Yowsa...yeah handfeeding is defintiely outta the question unless you want to get hurt :eek:

Nice! I love the set-up (I should really switch to astroturf), and I just love those feeding pics! :)
