My little gecko has proven to be a tough survivor!

I took in a small leopard gecko that was in bad shape as a rescue. She was very emaciated and had a tail that was thinner than a pencil. She was a very finicky eater... not wanting anything to do with crickets all she would take was the occasional mealworms or waxworms. She would eat like pig one night then refuse food for the next 2 weeks to a month. She just refused to fatten up and I was sure we were going to lose her before long.

You will all be glad to hear that Lizzy (Short for the name we gave her... thin lizzy) is now eating anything that comes near her. She pounces crickets, mealworms and waxworms and now she never refuses a meal! Her tail is still thin for a leo but has thickened up noticeably and continues to grow. She is much more energetic and she has the cutest little face that I have ever seen! If she keeps up at this pace she will soon be able to star in rap videos with her big piece of tail :D

3 Cheers for Lizzy!! HIP HIP HIP....HOORAY

aww thats great news. Have you had her tested for parasites. That could be why she wasn't eating. But it's great to hear she's finally eating for you.
