Canadian screen cages, anyone?
where can i find an affordable one?

You can't. And if you do, you don't get what you pay for. It's really best to make your own in my opinion. My grampa and I have made 2 really nice ones, and they are a lot better than any reptarium I have ever seen. If you have the tools, the wood is pretty cheap and screen will only cost you about 10-15 bucks or less, depending on size and where you get it. You can always get some help from Home Depot too.

I know petsmart (and probably most petstores) cary reptariums. They are plastic screen cages, they look okay and do the job well. They aren't too expensive, they range in price from 60 to 150$ (maybe more for bigger ones, though). Making your own works too, but if you don't know what you're doing try and get help from someone who does :)

I have a reptarium, and have been very happy with it. I made one, too, but I am not very good at building things. I bought my reptarium on ebay, and it was cheaper than in the stores, and close to what you would pay for materials to build a comparable sized cage.

Build your own. There is really nothing readily available that meets their needs. Reptariums are not a good idea for chams as far as I'm concerned. The mesh is woven too fine and it rips out their claws (which don't grow back), and it blocks too much light radiating from your $50 UV tubes.

I sell the pvc cpated wire mesh that you can use for chameleons. It is not cheap though. It costs $25.00 for a 4' X 2' sheet and you need five for a cage, plus another $30.00 for the pan on the bottom.

I am planning on building our new Cham a cage out of PVC. Piping that is.

He is less than ten inches long so it won't be huge, about 4 feet tall...couple feet wide and long. I figure I am going to make the frame from PVC pipe and then cable tie plastic fencing on it which I already have. I am trying to make it lightweight so that I can place it in and out each day. It won't look the best but it will be functional and easy to clean.

Maybe you could try something like that?

I'd recomend building one yourself. I have a reptarium (mesh) cage and i find that the crickets chew through it and escape! It's not a very fun time running around catching the crickets! They seem pretty easy to build if you've got the time. If not i'd recomend checking out www.bigappleherp.com they have very cheap reptariums!
