I am not the best at snake ID from photos but I'd say normal. Can't really be anything else. It has black around the borders so not hypo, definitly not crimson, and basically all that leaves for that color snake is normal and Okeetee.

*shrug* I am sure someone else may have better ideas.

Could be a Miami phase.

lol, looks like an eastern milk to me, but as a corn I agree with Invictus a miami. Wrong pattern for a regular normal to me.

Guys, please look up what a miami looks like. Miami's have GREY backgrounds with RED saddles.

That is in my opinion, an incredibly beautiful NORMAL corn. Normal corns have TONS of variation from deep almost blood red colour, to very straw "caramel" type colour.

I like the thick black border. Good catch for $30.

It looks like a normal corn to me with very nice colouration.

well I own several 'normal' corns and that doesn't look like any of them, pattern or color

If you want to call it a normal but to me they don't look anything alike

my normal

saddle colors are similar but I don't see the orange of a normal on his. Without knowing the genetics it is a mute point anyway.

Looks REALLY normal to me, but with a clean pattern. A very clean pattern. It happens.

the pattern is what made me think eastern milk to begin with, the lack of orange between the saddles or on the sides is what stops me from agreeing with normal gutata. If I could remove the orange from mine leaving only the beige ground color I'd think they were the same. And it could be just his picture or a flash was used that washed some color out. Dozer will probably have an opinion when he compares mine to his. It's fun to guess anyway.

Well, I too, lookin' through many pictures, beleive its a pretty normal. However... its got somethin' weird on its head... can you spot it?

Picture (http://www.saltinemonkey.com/beejay/pics/Rack%20010.jpg)

Oh, and the underside has black stripes here and there... I'm not sure if that helps :o

If you think its somethin' else from this picture... it would be my pleasure hearin' from you :D

Thanks again.

Is his name **** by chance?

Flash does blur the colors out... good point :)

LOL Enso!

That marking is nuts. From this photo I'd say 100% for sure normal corn. No where near miami but a beautiful buy for 30 bucks...thats a good deal IMHO. He has a super nice pattern and coloring.

Normals have black and white "checker" type pattern on belly.

I want a good clear head shot of this snake, the more I look at the snake the more I think eastern milk.

I see why you would definitly think that. But I found some pics online and I don't think Eastern Milk still. But both species are so highly variable I could be wrong.

The snake is DEFINATLY a corn, no chance its a milk. The eastern milk has a little "Y" marking on the head and this one has the "Arrowhead" shaped pattern that corns do. Looks like a nice normal :)

@ JD - I just mentioned that alot of eastern milks i've seen had the "Y" and that corns wouldnt have that, they would have the arrowhead, like Dozers does. So all I was stating was that it is a corn snake. Not claiming that EVERY milksnake has a "Y" shape on the head. But thanks for coming out :P lol

On the monitor I was on when I read this post, the background of the snake DID look grey. Now I'd have to agree with the consensus. VERY nice normal.

I'd say that is a normal
maybe with a very clean pattern or just that it's het for something like banded or something like that.
Either way getting that corn for $30 is a steal! I would definately put my hands on it if I have seen it for sale......darn!
