At what age are chams considered full grown?
At what age do females begin laying eggs (on average)?
When should I cut back how much food I give my cham?
These seem to be stupid questions, but I haven't been able to find the answers. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
The larger species of chams are generally considered full grown at between 6-12 months. The smaller species can be full grown at as early as 2-4 months.
The larger species begin laying between 6-13 months and can lay maximum 3 clutches a year, usually two, but sometimes 4 have been reported. The smaller species begin at about 2 months and can lay a clutch of 2 or 3, depending how much you feed them, every 2 months.
You should offer as much as they'll eat until they are about 6 months old, then you should start a feeding and dusting schedule.
Go to http://www.google.com and type in (species name) Chameleon Care. i.e.: Veiled Chameleon Care
That's the best way to go about it; after you read 5 care sheets come back with any more questions you have.
