I have read some caresheet on my black and white tegu and it says im suposed to only mist it once a week but i would figure it rains a lot more times than once a week from where they come from? what do you guys think? I would think atleast every other day...:confused:

I would think since they are from South America they get lots of rain there. I think every other day would be ok.

I have a hot room so I spray every night. If the soil is completely dried out then give it a spray. I would deffinatly spray at least every other day.

Just a thought, but you may want to search for info on where they come from. Annual rainfall, seasonal info, all kinds of good stuff like that.
That's where I would start anyway :)

Niagara has my vote - research it before you do it!! If its too wet, they might get a skin malady, or maybe nothing?? But check it out on weather forum on net or at local library reference desk....

It may be they need humidity but not dampness, if I tried to keep the humidity right for a couple of animals they would get scale rot from the dampness. I picked up a thing called a sonic fogger and it raised humidity in a 6X3X2 well-vented enclosure by 20% without soaking the substrate.

ye im gonna take niagra's advice and try to figure out anual rainfall and divide it into the number of days or somthing like that. Thanks :)
