Hey everyone. I picked up 2 baby male BCIs at a show this weekend and they are my first red-tails. I went to check on them last night after they both ate a frozen/thawed hopper mouse for me:D .....and I couldn't find them! I finally saw a little black speck in the aspen and behold! They had both burrowed under the aspen and had only their little noses poking out! It was pretty funny, but I was wondering if this was normal behavior for babies? Any thoughts?

lol, my 8ft 50lb+ female lives under her rug until I add a humid hide during shedding. Pretty typical, a hide should get them unburied but thats about it.

my BCI also has a hide in her enclosure. I guess she just likes to burrow :D

Yeah, I have a hide in both of their cages, but I suppose they like to burrow.

i have a hide on both sides of the tank and my small one never burrows it is always in 1 of the hides.
but when my big girl was small she would constantly burrow.

My BCI burrows regularly. I always say that he thinks he's a Kenyan.
