Not being a fan of hybrids I'm lax in what has been done. I'm curious whether the Leucistic form of Elaphe obsoleta lindheimeri has ever been crossed into the gutata (especially the amels)? Have you ever seen/heard of it? what did the F1 & F2's look like? The thought just sorta crossed my mind while looking at another thread and if I got an adult male I could have F1's next season but would be less interested if it's been done. Thanks for any info.
I have thought of crossing my LTR to my blizzard corn, but after seeing this particular cross in person, it was nothing special.
Most rat to rat breedings produce animals that look quite like the parent species.

F1 or F2 that you saw? I was figuring the F1 would not be much but was hoping that the F2's might express some double recessive traits to were different.
F1. I can't imagine anything interesting coming out of the F2 generation. I'm also a person that looks for body type and head conformation, and consdering corns and obseletus have similar shape, I don't see anything happening.
If you use an LTR, you may get leucistics in the F2 generation, but honestly, so what? They'll just be white, like other Leucy's. Plus they'll look very similar to LTR's and it may be hard to differentiate them and pure LTR's. I like hybrids that scream "I am a hybrid".
Normal coloration crosses to snow or amel corns may prove more interesting to try.
