Most experts advise against using slide racks for venomous, but I love the concept. So, we decided to design a venomous slide rack. I brought the idea to the best craftsmen I know, Anthony Gay of www.Unboalievable.com . He told me that it could be done and asked for the measurements. He designed and constructed the prototype. The rack has 9 slots designed for the Sterlite 12 and 28 quart buckets. The same slot can hold two 12 quart buckets (suitable for average girth snake up to 2.5 feet) or one 28 quart bucket (suitable for average girth snakes up to 4 feet.) The system can hold 9 larger snakes, 18 smaller ones, or any combination of the two sizes. The air holes are in the back which limits human exposure to them and they are also screened in from the inside. The rack has a door constructed of wood and Plexiglas which allows for a solid seal and allows one to see in the door prior to opening it. The snakes are double caged. First by the slide and then by the door should one be able to escape the slid. The door has a built in lock to eliminate access by anyone other then us. This is a magnificent design and we would like to give all credit to Tony. Job very well done brother!

Truely is an awesome enclosure. Doesn't take up too much space and holds many snakes securely. Superb work Tony.

Brian you men those milk crate the tv is sitting on? lol

Very nice enclosure.

I could see pros and cons to slide racks for hots. Not really much of an issue, I've seen many others use them. I wish I could get/make one for my Boas, cept I havent seen tubs big enough for them.

I think that design makes them MUCH safer for hots. Even if the manage to get out of the box, they can't get out of the system because of a locking door and the whole thing is sealed. Again, great design!

Well, if Brian has nothing negative to say, we can assume Tony has re-invented the wheel on this one. Ha ha

B.W. you know I wouldn't forget to get you a wedding gift, and I am positive that you will like it. So will your snakes

GreggM, an 8 x 4 x 4, they will be some of the happiest gaboons around. I will be glad to help you design one. Maybe you would have more input than B.W. he only answers direct questions;)

Thanks again to everyone else, enjoy em Chuck.
