I have a LTR and a normal. I am not big on colubrids myself, but texas rats are an exception. Gotta love the attitude. ;)

Mine is pretty calm......but then again I just got him, lol.
Another question.....do you guys provide supplemental heating for your rat snakes? I have read several care sheets that said they do not need high temps above room temperature.....any thoughts?
OOh a red-eyed leucistic? Cool!
Chances are, if a snake will show agressiveness, it will be right when you receive it because it stresses them out.

I have every intention in the world of getting an LTR, but have not acquired one as of yet.
If I had to keep only one species to work with, it would be LTR's.
My avatar is Salt, my male LTR.

i am not into colubrids eather but still a LTR is a exquiset anamal! i would like to get one but have just had my eyes on other things. rat snakes are great though i have never realy messed with captive Texas rats but there fun to catch! good luck with him! and i dont think he will show any sings of aggresiveness as an adult if you tame him well

Thanks guys, I really think he is an awesome snake........its kinda funny though....I am houing him in one of those snap-top rubbermaids and he must think he is arboreal because he keeps getting on the inside lip of lid and perching........weird little guy.
