I was putting in a dish load of mealies in my leo cage and I accidently droped all of them in the water dish. So I took the mealies out and they were all completely motionless. I tried squishing them, poking them, and twirling them around but they still wouldn't do anything. It's been around an hour and they're slowly coming back to life. Does anyone know what happened to them?

They were in the water for maybe 10 seconds. I might try it again and see what happens.

Was the water really cold?
usually when I drop some in water, unless it's cold they start moving quite fast

ya it think cold makes em go to sleep..someone mentioned how when they get silkworms (i think it was silks) , they dont wanna bother taking care of them and their specific diet, so they put em in the fridge and they just go to sleep and they will last a few months..then you take em out and let em warm up, and then feed em to your animals (i guess you would need to gutload them after they wake up though)
