Humm ths might seem kinda dumb to some of you guys and girls but can i use astro turf on a uth. Cuz after my new bp sheds i want to throw out the old bark and get something more easier for the eye. lol . sorry for the dumb post

your uth is under the tank right? it's not inside is it?

It should be fine as long as your UTH is controlled (which it should be regardless of the substrate).
we use astroturf in a few tanks no problem, though it does have to be replaced eventually, takes a beating every time you clean it.

Oh ya, if the UTH got hot enough to melt the turf you would have bigger issues then melted turf. think how hot it has to be to melt and how hot your critter can take.

i use astro turf and UTH with no problem. Make sure u have the UTH under the Glass! Also get some sort of regulator cuz the astro turf obsorbs alot of heat and can get over 100F!!!!!!!

yep I don't like the plastic astroturf, much prefer indoor/outdoor carpet
