breeding pairs............

hi,

i am just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. I have been searching around on the web and looking at some sites made by some people , most of them had to be young but ya. They get a sexed pair of some reptile and call it a breeding pair. whats with this. i think they should realize that its not a breeding pair untill they have successfully breed.

why advertise and get peoples hopes up when they aren't even producing.

Well if you have a male and a female and you pair them up to be bred... Im not sure what you would call it... It wouldnt be a breeding pair your right, but it could definatly be a future project or potential breeders... heck maybe we should call it a arranged marriage! LOL :)

Why be so technical ..

(in case your talking about my site .. I have not worked on it since hmm a good 6 month .. so nothing is accurate on it .. and i probably will not chg nanything ever .. no time for it anymore and the person who was doing it for me bailled out on me.

Breeding Pair

I would like to think that, a pair would be concidered a Breeding Pair, when coupulation takes place. Some Adult Males will not breed all Females, same goes for Females the may not take to all Males. So I say, that if they are not adults and they have not breed before, then they can not be concidered a Breeding Pair.

it makes sense to me....a breeding pair is a pair that is breeding..
or living in sin....or common law....and possible breedable pairs...well their just a platonic pair until proven!lol!

So My coastals and burms have bred b4 but never produced .. so is that a breading pair to you?

If they have bred they can technically be called a breeding pair, if they have produced, then they are proven breeders, if not, then they are just a pair. But often people just assume if its a M/F then they are a breeding pair due to lack of knowledge, or they will jsut label them as such to bring in the sale or charge more. That's why it's important to ask even what seems to be somehwat obvious sometimes just to clear the air :)

could it be possible that they call them "breeding pair" because they seem to like beeing together (i'm talking about compatibility between 2 living thing) and so, more prone to be breeding in the future ??????
