Well, im not sure if this should go under the feild herping area or this one.. anyways, last week, i was out feild herping, and i caught a few red-belly snakes, I thought "hey, i'll bring em home, enjoy them for a week or two, then bring them back".. anyways, while doing my rounds this morning, i noticed something extra in the little tank that the redbellies were in.. i counted at least 12 babies!!!!!!!!!!!
well, i guess its time to let everyone go back where i found them.
It was a pleasent surprise to my day to say the least.
I'd take pictures, but all i have is a webcam, and the quality isn't the best. but, these things are TINNNNYYYYYY..
like |<--------------------------------->| that big.

Very cool!!!! Are you keeping any or just sending them on their way?

I'm going to be letting them all go tomorrow before work back up in port perry.
It's better to let them go. But the temptation is always there to keep one or two. I have snakes going through the yard all day and as tempting as it is I let them go.
way to go justin it's nice of you to put them back where they came from congrats man.

Pity you didn't take pics.
It's good that you can restrain from keeping them, but wouldn't it sort of get used to captivity if you keep them for a while, then let them go? I would just let them on their way where they are.
Im not being critical, just a thought.:)

I dont think i've had the adults long enough to get them used to captivity. as for the babies, I want to let them go before they DO get used to it. it might give them a fighting chance in the wild.
