I just bought a 24x13 inch tank for my 2 leo's is that big enough for them to survive their whole life in it ?Thanks in advance.

For sure:D Just give them lots of hides and they'll be happy campers!
Sounds good to me! They should be happy as long as they can get away from each other every so often, so the hides (as Tim & Julie suggested) would be a good idea! If you are housing a male and female make sure the female doesn't get stressed. Other than that you should be good to go!

The tank measurements exactly are 13dx24Lx15h. I was thinking about turning it on its side and making it 15dx24Lx13h. what do you think?

i think its better to just leave it upward. You also gotta make sure they 2 leo's are not both males cause obviously they will fight. That size is more than enough though so its good. You supposed to have 10 gallons for each gecko an dthat sounds like its abou 30+ gallons right?

that would be a 20 gallon

why not just turn it on its side. They'll have more floor space since thats what is important for leo's. I have all that height that won't never get used. The floor space will be twice as much on its side.

the floor space will only be 2" x 24" more when it is on its side. it will be 15" x 24" as apposed to 13" x 24"...right? not twice as much

im very confused with all the numbers but what you should do is position it so the floor space is as big as it can be. As you said it needs more land to walk on than height

Bartman I'm with you on this one if you got more floor space to give why not give it? The other measurements I took were quick I did it again and it came to 17 h and 13 d. So it actually 4 inches of extra floor space. Even if it was 15 though thats still 2 inches of extra walking room. So why is it that some people are saying to leave it upward? Leo's don't really care how high their viv is. Help me understand, am I missing something?

My leos like to climb ok some of them like to climb. I even have a "jumper" (a leo that likes to jump). But it's all up to you and what you wanna do.

I'm about 99.9 % sure I'm gonna turn it on its side, but I want to know why some people are saying to leave it upward. Is there a problem with turning it sideways. I don't understand. Thats why I'm asking for replies. Thanks.

i wouldnt see a problem as long as there is no risk of escape or anything but thats the only thing i could think of...?

oh i agree..turn it on its side to give maximum space, i was just wondering why you said there would be twice as much room if it was on its side :D

If it was on its side the light would be right at eye level and It might bug them, cant remeber though, are leo's nocturnal?
yeah leos are nocturnal but I've heard of cases where they get adjusted to Diornal (????) lifestyles.

What do you mean the light will be at eye level? Oh and I didn't mean to be taken literally on that twice as much space thing. I just said it as a figure of speech. Mine are nocturnal. You really only see them moving around in the night time. Its funny though they just come out to eat, then when I feed them they go back to their dens.
