My bearded dragon, Amelia, has been very healthy up until about a week ago. Well, actually, she isn't growing very fast either. She acts like her equalibrium is out of wack. She walks all side ways/********-like and when she goes to catch food, she misses for the first couple of tries and then finally gets the cricket. She eats lots of greens and I dust her crickets. Whats the deal? She is 3 months old and only 7 inches long. I don't understand. Should I take her to the vet? Am I doing something wrong? Her basking spot is turned up to 90 and the cool side ranges from 83-86 throughout the day. Also, should I contact the breeder that I got her from and let them know? I dont know how many of you believe the tail break theory..but she has a tail break. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Thanks.

I don't know a WHOLE lot but you should take it to the vet. Although I might be corrected. It almost sounds like an ear infection?? Not sure if they even get thise but it's something to go on at least.

Definitely take her to to a vet, and also raise the basking spot. Beardies often prefer a basking spot above 105 and many young or sickly dragons need a spot as high as 120.

What you describe could be caused by many different things, but a B vitamin deficiency is what I usually suspect first. Too low a basking temp means she can't absorb vitamins from her food so cranking up the temp and sprinkling the food with a bit of brewer's yeast may do some good until the vet can do a thorough exam.
