My blood is between 3 and 3 1/2 feet long. I've been feeding her the biggest rats I can find. They are aproximately a foot long and weigh just over a pound. She gets one a week. I'm kind of curious if others are feeding similar size meals on a regular basis. Let me know either way. I'm contemplating whether or not I should move her up to rabbits. How many of you feed your snake rabbits and at what intervals do you do so?

Thanks for any any replies!

foot long rats seem a tad big for a snake thats only 3-31/2 feet long.??
Even if it is a blood.

id be curious to see a size comparison pic of the snake and you or better yet the snake and rat :D
i feed my snakes whatever is proportionate to there girth.
its a tough question to answer , as all rats come in different sizes and weights and my jumbos might be smaller then yours, significantly....etc..etc...

To answer your Q....
if the rats as big as it soundes and the snake is really only 3-3 1/2 feet...your probably feeding too much then you really have to...
its hard to say without a picture..

my thoughts anyways...

My borneo is just over four foot long. I have been giving him jumbo rats for a few months now. I won't give him anything that is much thicker than the thickest part of his body.

I just go by the mid body of my snake...I feed rats that are a little thicker then the snakes mid body.
