I know it's a gecko, but what kind is it? And what do I feed it and cage it in? It's only like 2 inches long. And it's tail came off, so now it's only 1 inch long. It's head it too small for the small crickets I have!

It's green but it changes colors. It turned brown. And then it turned green again with brown little stripes (not long ones, short stripes).

Oh, and he has the suction cup toes, cuz he keeps sticking to the wall.

I'm not sure what it is, but I can tell you that cricket is way too big.

Just let it go, it'll be healthier if you do.

I put the cricket in there so you guys could see how small he is. Okay, I'll go let him go right now. Dangit! That sucks. He's so cute.

it could also be a marbled gecko, but I would definently say release it and find a breeder if you want a gecko. Wild geckos are more high strung and flighty than breeder geckos, not to mention it probably has some type of parasite.

I let him go. He was so sweet. Just sat in my hand. Oh well. I am thinking of getting a gecko. But I don't like the bright green ones or the leopard ones. Anyone have any recommendations?

I have what i think is a marbled gecko... it was bought at petco and of course they were no help. It is a sweet gecko and likes to eat babyfood... I would say read up on different types of geckos and then choose what you like. Gargoyle geckos are cool too... I am thinking of getting a couple of them.

Maybe a crested gecko? They are really cool looking and have awesome eyes! They're good with handling too! :D

Pic isn't the best but could be a Mediteranian Gecko. They are an introduced species to FL. I found a couple while in St. Pete. didnt take them home, not really a gecko person.

if you're thinking about getting a gecko, look into crested geckos. they are lovely. i'm picking some up at a herp show next month. I can't wait. I am thinking about breeding them. beautiful little lizards :)

I totally recommend a crested gecko! They're sweet, handleable and come in great colours :) They eat baby food too, which is nice if you can't always have bugs in the house :D

Looks like a young Hemidactylus frenautus, or however you spell that. =)
