View Full Version : My long awaited babies. *photos*
Well on Saturday after 87 days they FINALLY started pipping. By now we have 11 out and about, 4 with heads pipping and another 4 eggs that have not pipped although it was five but the fifth pipped an hour or so ago. :D
All are as expected, and cute!

wow, they all look amazine..so tiny..congratulations, you should have a baby shower (free stuff :D)
HAHA thanks peoples!
Jeff: Basically they just sat on a warm shelf in my snake room. Temps varied (more than I wanted them too at first!) from 70-85 for two months, and basically between 78-83 the last weeks.

Congrats Marisa - nice group of babies after such a long wait. Nice to have them out of the eggs and they look lovely. Are you keeping any (besides your single egg from the next clutch)?

good job... they look so tiny... wow. nice.
Thanks everyone! I am certainly loving these little dudes and can't wait for the shed. I still have a couple pipping and three eggs that look good, but haven't pipped. I am not pipping them myself though. If they don't hatch, hey wasn't meant to be. But anyways!!!
Mary - No I won't be keeping any back. Mom and Dad are enough snow for me right now and yeah since my whole household wants me to keep that little double clutch egg, I think that will be my keeper. LOL. :)

WOW! I guess this goes to show just how forgving corn snakes can be, even before they are born. :) I'm happy for you Marisa. Congrats on the new arrivals!
haha oh yeah. Basically everyone I have ever talked to told me corn eggs can be hatched by a 6 year old. And they will hatch (if fertile) through many many conditions. So I wasn't too worried about the temp fluctuations. lol :)
thanks!

wow! very cute snakes! i am surprised it took that long for them to hatch. great snkaes good luck with them:)
Awesome babies!
Corn eggs can be incubated at room temp without additional heat , as long as its 72 degrees or over they will hatch, but it takes 70-90 days depending on temp fluctuations and such.
