Hey everyone,
I have been planning on breeding some of my tarantulas for a VERY long time but the thing that has been keeping me from doing this is, i dont have a tarantula egg incubator. So how do u gise in canada incubate your eggs? And if anyone can help me in acquiring an incubator please email me or reply to this post.

Thanks,
Ben

Keep them with the female. I've always done this with very few problemes. If the females eats them it is either because she was disturbed (your fault) or there was something wrong with the egg sac. After all, SHE knows best. If you are scared of them coming out of the egg sac, just let me know what species you are planning to breed and i'll tell you that species incubation time period and then all you need to do is open up the egg sac yourself 1 week before that date. You will then need to make a trip to your local camera store and ask for their empty film containers as you will need between 100-2000 depending on the species. 200 is the average which also depends on the size of the particular species. Just post again here or e-mail me at arachnomania2002@yahoo.com if you have anymore questions. Oh and one more thing. Feed her pinkies when she is protecting her egg sac as crickets might greak her out. Pinkies will also fatten her up and will not move enough to scare her into eating her egg sac.

Hey arachnomania,
I read that you shouldnt feed a tarantula while its incubating, because it might get the spider on feed mode n eat the egg sac! Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ben
