A friend of mine had a clutch of corn snakes and inside the clutch there was a bunch of normals, red albinos, normals, anerys, motleys and then this one...(pic)
this may look like a red albino but the lighting was off...the saddles are nice medium orange...i was thinking it is a creamcicle but im not sure..what is everyones view on it?

I'm new to corn snakes, but I'd have to agree. Same as the ones they had in the shop which I nearly bought. Opted for a common instead.

This looks like a regular amelanistic (red albino) in the photo. The distinction of creamsicle is more than just an orange coloration to the saddles. Creamsicles are descended from corns crossed with great plains ratsnakes (a very closely related species) to enhance the orange/yellow coloration. So creamsicle implies that they have Great Plains ratsnake in their background - and they are impossible to distinguish from pure corns based on their coloration - there are as many that are reddish orange as there are orange phase ones. Part of the problem with breeding creamsicles - many people are not aware of the difference between them and pure corns, and those who want pure corns can end up with creamsicles thinking they are pure. It is possible that there is creamsicle background in the parents of this clutch - that might account for the oranger coloration, but so could natural variation in corn colors.

Regardless, it is a very pretty hatchling.
