Mealie Beetles -Colour?

I have beetles appearing in my mealie colony:D, the only thing is some are a reddish, burgandy colour instead of black. Is this a different stage or a different beetle?

By the way what is the proper name for the beetles, besides mealie beetles??

When they first pupate in to beetles they are white and eventually turn black. The burgandy/brown ones are just on their way from white to black :) Mealie beetles are also known as Flour Beetles.

They are also called Darkling Beetles. The mealworm is the larvae stage of the Darkling Beetle.
