My lawn was (unfortunately) sprayed last month after all this time of using all natural fertilizers etc that wouldn't harm my herps. I was wondering when it would be ok to put my animals (if it all this year) back on the grass? I am espeically worried about my tortoise since he snacks on the grass. I do not know what exactly it was sprayed with, so I don't know if anyone will be able to answer this for me. I know next to nothing about this topic :(

You know what,
Once, we did do that here. They told us that 24h later it would be okay and no danger for the animals.
I let my cats in the house for like 1 week.
2 weeks later one of my cats were dead in front of my house, on the grass... no external damages.
We Don't know if it was the cause But... I would not take a chance if I were you.

We are never to careful, especially with chimic stuff...

Now you should see our lawn. It's never sprayed or fertilized .. for that matter it's rarely cut:) ..it looks like a jungle, but the snake loves it. lol

Now I'm certainly no expert on chemical sprays but I would say that a snake could go out a lot sooner than something like a turtle or anything that would be eating the grass. Does the lawn get watered much (ours doesn't :D ) I would think any residue would go away faster if washed off. Personally, I would wait a few weeks before letting your snake on it, and then I would give him a bath after. Just my 2 cents worth.

Just another thought .. keep an eye out for little grass critters. Spiders or aphidy things that normally live in the grass. If they can survive, it should be okay for snake and turtle guys.

water 1 time a day for 1-2 weeks to wash residue away and wait a few weeks (at least 2) before you let them out on it. also talk to the person who sprayed it.

Not that I know anything about animals and chemical other than they usually don't mix, but do you really want to run the risk of harming your animals? I wouldn't. I don't want to have a problem with my animals even though someone told me it should be safe. You might not be able to tell until its too late if your animals is being harmed by the chemicals. Just my opinion.
