View Full Version : up and running!
Well, i've decided to hang up my hermits robe and get back into things! Its been a year since I've frequented(is that a word???)these forums thanks to my crappy ol' computer which, might i add, got kicked, thrown, spat on and screamed at right up to the day it hit the curb!lol! Finally got a new one!yaay! Anyhoo, some people here know me, many probably forgot about me, and there's MANY whom I've never chatted with....soooo.......I'm Yve. Live in Ontario. Have a few snakes; 2 ball pythons, variable king, albino burm and guyana red tail, 2 giant african millipedes with babies and more too come. I don't just KEEP reptiles. I also do some volunteer work for Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake Recovery Team. I think taking care of the reps. in the wild is just as important as the ones in captivity. Well, its nice to be back, I missed hanging out!

welcome back yve...its been a while!
i meant to stop & talk at the last show...but i never got around to it....sorry
i was working closely with the mass. ratt. recovery team last year and actually, i finalized the design and did most of the editing work on the stewardship (man that was a huge job)guide as well as that interesting little snake pipe poster :)
I also completed the rattlesnake curriculum guide for elementary schools
anyways, we should talk, drop me a line sometime, its awesome that your so involved with all this

Welcome back
Brandon
thanks for the greetings all!
Lisa, I haven't done any field work as of yet, but would like to in the future. At the moment my main focus is handing information on the e. mass. at the Toronto & St. Jacob's expo's. There's so many people that are misinformed about this species and don't hesitate to kill it when encountered by one. I've talked to people who think the snake will chase you down. Ridiculous but basically misinformed! The team members that I have met are wonderful people dedicated to improving the status of this species. They do research, fieldwork & educate. If you want detailed information I can send it to you, let me know.
Matt, you did a great job on the stewardship guide and I LOVE the poster. That pipe is a work of art! I'd like to hear more about the work you've done. I'll be in touch:)
