View Full Version : freeze dried crickets
Just wondering how you all feel about the freezed dried crickets? They're suppose to be gut loaded and good for your reptiles but i'm a little hesitant to buy them. They seem like they'd be easier since they won't die. :)

I don't know what you have, but for my leos I wouldn't buy f-d crickets. They don't eat anything that isn't moving, so I'll have to wiggle them in front of the geckos, and if you have more than a few leos it would take a really long time feeding all of them this way.

if you are thinking about buying them the best thing to do would be to buy a vibrating dish as well with them the the still apear alive. They should sell them at the pet store as well.
hope that helps a bit.

I bought these lol, it was such a waste of my 4$......My gecko wouldn't eat them, they don't move, and I couldn't really see myself wiggling each one around for her......they're HUGE too! I threw them out eventually.
I only bought them because my parents let me get a gecko on the grounds that I wouldn't keep live crickets in the house :P....but it's too late now, I keep live crix and mealies.
I think anyone is better off buying live crickets and gutloading them yourself. You can buy the immature ones that don't make any noise too. :D
