This is an FYI - I went looking for the date of the meeting because I thought it was coming up and here is what i found.
we need to mark this down! Sept 16, 2003 7:00. and we need to be there in force :-

EXOTIC ANIMAL BY-LAW

A Public Meeting has been scheduled for TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2003, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall to give the public an opportunity to comment on "Surrey Exotic Animal By-law, 2003, No. 14823".

If you wish to provide a written submission prior to the meeting, it can be sent to the attention of the City Clerk, City Hall, 14245 - 56 Avenue, Surrey, B.C. V3X 3A2; Fax 604-591-8732, or email ckiverago@city.surrey.bc.ca <mailto:ckiverago@city.surrey.bc.ca>.

Background information and the by-law can be viewed at City Hall, or by calling 604-591-4123 for further information. The notice, corporate report and by-law will also be posted on the City of Surrey web site.

So all your correspondence made a big difference. So much so they are allowing the public to comment and are having a meeting. Thank you to all that wrote to city counsel. We cant let one small group of individuals dictate to us what we can and cant keep its ludicris! :-)

Thanks for the info Terri. From what I've read this bill has some problems. Can I still come to the meeting if I live in Abbotsford?
