Hey all,

I presently use vermiculite in my BRBs humid hide box.

It work like a charm and they love it, but changing it often makes it a bit costly.

Can you suggest something cheaper ?

Does anybody use peat moss succesfully ?

Thanks.

I've never heard of vermiculite being used as a substrate fo rmoist hides, typically people use sphagnum moss. Carefresh also works, as well as peat moss could work.

I actually use vermiculite in my little Pueblan Milksnakes moist hide. But I just happen to have some leftover so that's why he has it. So far it has worked pretty good.
