Slap yourself in the face and say why did I do that for? Because it will be your fault!! :D :D
BP never bite and if they do that’s because you did something wrong, like just cleaning your rodents cages.

You could just sit there and see if he / she will eat you?

I've heard different techniques, from running it under lukewarm water or dipping it under standing water to trying to open the jaws. I think the main thing to keep in mind is not to injure the snake, cuz then you have a whole 'nother world of problems. I remember a friend telling me about a pet parakeet that he killed because it bit him and he shook it off too hard.

First off make sure you have some one with you, if it does try and constrict you you'll need someone to help....I can't stress enough how dangerous Balls can be. Just be carefull!

thats not true in the slightest bit.....
when snakes bite, especially ball pythons, it is out of defense and some (especially WC) can be very defensive, hence striking at alot of things, it doesnt mean you did something wrong

Man, i got you both beat, just the other day, my baby ball swallowed my 21 year old brother...
I have never been bit but if I was this is what I would do. Rinse the wound under water then disinfect. If the snake doesn't let go, run its head under water.

Geez...how big would a ball have to be to swallow a buffalo? Is this for real?
Hey, Monty, can I borrow your ball? I got a sibling that could use a lesson in respecting her elders... ;)

Well I heard that if you use whisky, or rubbing alchol and put it under the snakes nose that they will let go. Don't pull your hand back because it will only hurt you more, and it will pull the snakes teeth out. Once the snake lets go clean the bite wound with rubbing alchol and take care of it like you would any other scratch. But go to your doctor if it gets infected. Never want to take a chance!
Dont waste the whisky on a snake!!!

None of the water methods are at all effective in removing a snake that latched on to you. My preferred method is vinegar. It will burm you a little, but is non-toxic and highly effective in releasing a snake hold. Some people also use alcohol with some success, though I have never tried this method.

I use the paitience method I just put the snake back in its enclosure and wait for it to let go...I mean even an adult BP will get the idea that I'm too big to be eaten.

well a ball python I just sit a laugh at it but I have ben biten by a 8 foot burm and all I needed to do was run cold water and literaly place the open mouth under the instinct of living oter then drowning kicks in an they let go or place some hard booze in a sprey bottel and sprey in the mouth animals tend to remember how badly you tast and stop biting al together
a couple years ago my mom got bit by my ball python. She was supposedly feeding the snake, but i dont know why her hand was in front of his face. In any case, he just bit her, and then let go right away, but he broke skin. She called me afterwards and said "I think i need a tetnus shot" I said "Why? His teeth arent made from rusty metal."
My mom is wierd.

Hey. Well if you get bitten try your absolute best not to pull away. This could result in you removing the snakes teeth. It really doesn't hurt. Clean it throw on a bandaid and go on with your life lol.
there are many ways to get a snake that is biteing you off, find them and use them

I once awoke to find my car gone from my drive way, I looked at my bp and there was a strange car shaped lump in his belly? So I set off my alarm, and sure enough it was my car the little pig had swallowed. He is partial to the odd elephant as well:)

I just got bit not more than 1/2 hour ago trying to remove my bp from under my bed. Though I wasn't expecting it to happen, I was subconciously asking for it. Reaching for a snake while it's in a dark place, what a dumba**..:o
