Can someone tell me if it is okay to breed a large female corn (over 5ft, and real thick) with a 2 year old male (not near as big)? My question is more to do with the size difference between the 2. Will the female act aggressive when I introduce her to the male? Will the male get really stressed? He's around 3.5 ' and about a toonie thick. Also, is it okay to try to breed them now, in July? THanks...cheers.

I bred a not-quite-so-large female corn snake this year with an '01 male that was probably 1/3 her weight. She had 21 good eggs, and they should be hatching in about a week.

So, Mark, you don't think there can be much harm with trying? I mean, I'll stay and watch for the first little bit to make sure it's all good. What about breeding this late in the season? I heard corns are pretty good with late breeding?
Thanks,
Mike

All you can do is try, they'll either breed or they wont. I think it may be too late but it all depends when you brought them up from brumation. I would not worry about the size difference as long as she doesn't decide to bolt from the tank and tare his gear off you should be ok.
Cheers,
Trevor
