I would love to hear stories and see pics of our lovely snakes the king and there chompers! i will share. i don't have a mark of where my kings bit me but i was gettring ready to fead and i went to feed my big male henry (coastel cal king). i didn't relize my sister had wanted to play with him (he is very friendly). i starterd freaking out cause i had an empty cage with cats all threw the house. i start to search my snake room, when my sister comes in with him. i tell her off and take him from her. i guess i smelled like mouse when he latched right onto my nose!.

Sometimes takes me 15 min. to get one of my Cals. off my hand. They think my fingers are just the thing to eat!

hahaha Yeah our Mexican Black Jose LOVES biting hands and hanging on. We used to just grab him free handed but after sitting with a kingsnake on your fingers for 10-30 minutes at a time a dozen times you learn to use gloves. LOL.

My california kingsnake loves to jump around at feeding time with a wide open mouth! :D

Here's a pic of my only notorious(sp) biter. This is Onyx my old Mex.Black. He once swallowed my middle finger up to my palm!

If I'm going to get bitten by a snake, I'd rather it be a colubrid. Those are pretty subtle bites compared to the boids. :)

My albino cal king has never bitten yet. He vibrates the tail and gets in the S position but never bites. I used to have a florida king a few years ago that did nothing but bite. He was a nasty little turd. I gave him to a friend when I moved and he is still feisty to this day.

I did hear that if a snake bites and hangs on you can :grab: put a drop of alcahol in its mouth and it should let go instanly? Never had to try it my self as all my kings are as nice as pie :)

One of my big male Cals just loves to use me for an appetizer..oops is that another drop of blood.

KingJaff: the rubbing alcohol goes on the tip of nose, not in the mouth..;) and yes it works.. my high White Aberrant was notorious for latching on and not letting go..

I've only had one of my kings bite me and he let go right away. he slithered to the other end of his cage after that. It was a feeding night and he knew he didn't want to eat my finger.
