niles and niles

hey who out there has a nile monitor if so post about him or her telling the size, temperment and what you think of owning a nile in captivity.:)

I have one, I named it Gollum. He's just shy of 2ft. long. His is ok and lets me handle him when he feels like it. I don't push it. He gives me a little body posturing when he doesn't want to be messed with. He has come along way since I got him though. I have no problems with people owning them in captivity if they can properly house and provide for them.
