Help!? we have new 12 inch eastern milksnake and it won't eat. We have tried pinkie mice, crickets and earthworms. Any ideas?

no crickets, no worms, no other insects. You may have to assist feed an it may be necessary to feed just the pinky head if the snake is very tiny. Do a search on assist feeding.

Try lizard scented prey, or maybe a live lizard. An anole for example.

First, where did you get this snake? Was it supposed to be eating frozen thawed? Have you tried putting the snake in a small container with paper towels, the food item and then leaving the snake alone for a few hours? Try pinkie heads or punch a hole in the pinkies head. Sometimes the smell of blood, ect initiates a feeding response. Good Luck.

i kno for a fact that what enso said about the blood entiseing a snake is true, i saw it on some show, so heay, make the pinky bleed a little

Some easterns can be impossible to feed. Try muice but if it won't take mice try skink tails.
