holding my leopard gecko

hey

I have four geckos but only one likes to be held. How can i get my other three to do this? Any suggestions??

How old are they?

if they are realy yong (3-4 inches) wait a little bit and hold them little by little, thats how i got mine tamed mine

Lots of time and patience. :) try taking them out more during the day when they aren't as awake and hyper. ;) give them nice treats while they are out and work slowly, start with a couple minutes each and work your way up to 8-10 minutes with each. Some can be really shy, I'm still working with my blizzard who is well over a year and I have a het bliz. male that is a biter when I pick him up but once he is out he is fine.

Okay. Since they are still kinda young the best thing to do is slow introduction. Too much during the day can stress them, since they are nocturnal and are much less "suspicious" at night. So try doing this at night after or just before feeding. Slowly place your hand into their cage/cages and allow them to explore you. Do this often. Once they are comfortable with your hand in the cage they should begin climbing on you and at that time you can slowly pet them with your other hand. When they get used to you petting them that is a good time to start picking them up. They naturally tame down around ten months, but by doing the above they become much more social as adults. For my babies the only handeling they get is when I'm doing maintinace on thier enclosures...I find that the shooing method works best. Just shoo them on to you open palm an then lift them up :)

Yeah, it works best the animals see my face and naturally want to run away :p
