Butter corns are homozygous for the caramel gene and homozygous amelanistic. The caramel gene first showed up in a female that Rich Zuchowski (SerpenCo) purchased and bred - giving rise to caramels when not amelanistic, ambers when paired with hypomelanism and butters when amelanistic. As far as I know he was the first to produce butters from this line.
Hope that helps. Butters are really pretty snakes - hard to photograph well I find, but very dramatic in person, especially when they are mature.

If you are planning on butters, I reccomend getting them from Darren Boyd, he owns Reptile Rainforest and has the nicest butter corns I have ever seen, and at a good price too! He is located in the Ottawa area. His website is www.thereptilerainforest.com

Awsoem thanks for the link :)
For the record, Darren is the nicest, most honest guy around. Whenever I have a problem with my snakes he is always willing to help out in any way he can. He won't sell you an unhealthy animal. ;)

That link brings up what you need to know Invictus.
He has shipped to Vancouver Island before so I would guess the answer is yes. :)
