Snake has "the runs" Help!!

I just recieved a desert king a couple days ago. I came to look at it today. It had pooped all over its cage and it was all runny...What do I do?
Also, I was cleaning her off with a rag by letting her slide through my hands while holding the rag and as she went through I started to hear a kindof gurgling sound...I have no clue what to do and am very worried! Please help!!
Does she need a vet? How serious is this?

I would get a fecal done on her... she could very well have internal parasites.

Also, what do you mean by gurgling? That could be an RI, or she might just have been digesting.

Also, how much will a fecal cost? I will get one done tomorrow.

RI is a respiratory infection.

Fecals are like 20$ up here so probably 10-15 in the states.

where on the snake did you hear the gurgling

Oh, no...Definately not a repitory infection. The gurgling was from the middle of his body, could that be digesting?? It sounded like a person who is about to puke (like their stomach). The snake hasn't pooped or regurged anything tonight though.

I am hoping that this is nothing, but none of my others have ever had gurgling sounds...what does it mean?

That just sounds like digesting to me... I hear it in my snakes sometimes. But I'd still get a fecal done, to make sure she doesnt have any parasites!

I'd definitely get a fecal done... inspect your feeders and check your temps too.

Sorry, I just realized you only got the snake a couple of days ago. Maybe the previous owner wasn't keeping the temps high enough for a fast enough digestion and the meal partially rotted in his stomach (and then it pushed through when you got it). Get a fecal done anyway...

some are so you should keep it away from other snakes for a few weeks. Also i had a snake that had the same problem along with a few more problems so for him i had to put him down.but for yours i would just bring him/her to the vet so they can see, if they can treet it

caring for a sick snake is not eazey but it is fun to watch it heal but for snakes it takes longer for them to heal them selfs. (your vet shood give you all the detals

I wouldn't worry too much about the runny poop... welcome to the wonderful world of colubrids. My corns have runny poop, and they have never had a parasite in their lives. Don't panic. Get a fecal done, but in the mean time, don't lose any sleep... Colubrids tend to have very runny poop. :)
