cb is captive bred meaning they were bred in captivity and hatched in captivity. wc means wild caught which means they were basically taken from their natural environment and broguht to us to be sold, which i feel is not a good practice because of ethical issues. ch is similar. that means captive hatched meaning a gravid female from africa was taken into captivity and then her eggs hatched in captivity. i bought a captive hatched not knowing the true meaning and now i feel bad cause these animals were taken from their home to be pets. its liek exploitng them.
CB is worth the extra few bucks.

ya if you are considering a snake alwas get CB!!!! I completely agree about the ethical issues but there are more than just that. they are aggresive, there is a very good chance they harbor more that 1 internal perisite, some dont aclimate to captivity well at all and will remain aggreasive there whole life, and some just end up dieing from pure stress. imagin being taken from your home and family, put in a ship, trasported to another planet and to top it all of on the way there it took days or weeks and you where being kept like the jews where in WW II! but with CB captivity is what they where born in and will stay in there whole life. not that i am saying that just because they where born here they dont have the right to be free. but they thrive here. and no matter what people say "free, free as the wind blows" in the wild that bull sh*t! it is a struggle to survive. its kill or be killed! if your the weakest, or your sick, your going to die. plain and simple. just my $00.02

Careful, though, because sometimes people use CB to mean captive born, which means that the eggs were caught in the wild, and hatched in captivity, as opposed to captive bred, where the snake was born in captivity from parents that were, at the very least, bred in captivity. If you have a choice between captive bred and captive born, choose the captive born. They're generally more tame with less health problems.

I think you mean to say choose captive bred rather than captive born.

Ya, when I got my BP she ate the same day. And has never refused a meal since then, although she is a bit of a "lazy" eater. She waits till I tap her on the nose with the mouse before she strikes.....although she is waiting in strike mode.
