Heat Tape

I was talking with a breeder and he said that heat tape is a great way to create a basking spot for a reptile and it's cheaper than a substrate heater. Any thoughts on this?

I thought that maybe the Heatting Wire for roofs would be cheper. Because you have to bring Heat Tape up from U.S. You can get the wire from Crapey Tire. Check it out! It may work you!

heat tape is a great way to heat one side of the enclosure. Many many many people use it, its perfectly safe, inexpensive and very easy. I say go for it.

I notice you live in the states, so it will be easy for you to get...you wont have the same problems we have up here in canada...so go for it!
