ok, so ive been keeping and breeding snakes for over 15 yrs but i dont know the difference between a salmon boa and a hypo boa.
anyone help?
cheers
paul
From my understanding hypos and salmons are technically the same genetics but the "names" they are given depend on their coloring and how strong the hypo genetics are.
Hypo is lacking all black pigmentation leaving the boa beige, orange and reddish browns approx.
Salmon is hypo but with more vibrant coloring. Still lacking all black pigmentation but the orange, pinks and reds are much more prevalent, especially in the tail.
Then there are super salmons which are salmons x salmon crosses that have even brighter colors!
You can read up more on the salmon genetic at www.salmonboa.com
