Hey Everyone!
I just wanted to share my exciting news! I'm getting a new baby beardie! :D She is so cute and I'll get pictures up when I finally get her. Well, I'm saying she but I can't be sure for another few months really. The breeder said that she was 75% sure that it is a female, in which case I am keeping my fingers crossed! I'd really LOVE a female.
She is being sent out on Tuesday for overnight delivery. I am sooo sooo sooo excited! I've got her cage pretty much set up. It's a 20 gallon long(which is only a temporary tank until she needs the upgrade) with reptile carpeting as the substrate. She's got a big branch of driftwood that I found on the beach and used for my last baby dragon. I do have a large granite rock in there also but I'm planning on removing it. I think it's too big and I don't want to take the chance of the little baby getting stuck under the boulder! Hehe.
Also, instead of buying a UV light... she is going to share one with Chester(my 8 month male dragon). She gets it in the morning and part of the afternoon and Chester gets it late afternoon and in the evening. I'll buy her a UV light of her own in August but I don't feel like going out and spending $50 on a light fixture and then $20 for the bulb at a pet store when I can buy the fixture AND bulb for $20 total at my local herp show on August 31st.
Anyway... enough rambling... I just wanted to share my very exciting news!
P.S.- Chester is REALLY hoping he'll have a girlfriend, hehe. ;)
